Ballerina and Baby Ballerina
Cecilie is a very special pony. This girl started my fakie collection! I received her in a lot with two alternate birthflowers in early February 2009, and when I grabbed her in the box and saw her, I just laughed. I showed her to Jesper, and he laughed with me. In fact, we were so amused we couldn't stop! I told him she'd be a keeper because she was just to odd not to be loved.. Little did he know I was going fakie-mad after that day, LOL!
They were released in Europe and Australia during the 90's. I've only ever come across one, but they are available in a LOT of colors, so.. Yeah, they are out there ;)

Baby Ballerinas - or Diaperinas
Ballerina baby fakies are very popular in the fakie community. Since they are wearing a diaper, my fiancé started to call them diaperinas, and I love that name so I'm going to refer to them as such from now on ;)
I have 4 vintage babies, all are displayed here and MIB. They were sold in two-packs again some time during the 90's in Germany. I don't know for sure how they were sold in Australia, either single or in doublepacks I guess..
They all feature a pin on their diaper, and even though they don't "wear" the bodysuit (having a diaper instead), they have colored ribbons/laces around the edges as seen.
Notice the two different molds; the eyes are quite different! Until I received these I thought they were only released with the more vintage look eye-liner up until the early 2000s.

Orange and blue baby pack
Available in the most dazzling color (at least, to me) - bright, neon orange! I love this color, which has been used for several vintage fakies. <3
As you can see, they were released within a toyline called PonyLand, and their set name being Ballerina Pony. The logos makes you wonder wether the Dreamland ponies with shooting star symbols were intended to be their mothers!

I will eventually make a site dedicated my my rereleases, this being one of the most re-used vintage molds, I have so many babies! They are still being produced with pins on their diaper, but also with multi-toned hair, glass-eyes and shimmering bodies!
