Playful Pony & Accessory
Popular known as Sparkle fakies, the Playful Pony were sold in America through dollar stores. They were released in 6 colors, but a variation of the bright pink/red has been found, so it's likely that they were produced in a few runs - at least that's what I'm thinking.
They each came with a brush, a copy of the original G3 brush, and a few stickers (see the bottom MOC pic for details).
I got mine from Tradertif at MLPArena, along with a bunch of other G3 fakies.

Quality and Popularity
The Sparkle fakies are made of cheap thin but hard plastic, often melted uneven on the inside which is visible through their see-through body. They have thin hair, a short, plugged tail (like the mane).
They are commonly used for customs in the MLP community, and I can see why; cheap, lots of colors and ideal for a rehair. Plus Hasbro never made more than a few see-through sparkle G3s.
(please note that the purple girl dosn't have a symbol - it's one of her stickers)

MOC Playful Pony
I don't know why they weren't paired with their own color brush, but I received one of each color brush and the six fakies, so I assume they were all sold with a brush not their own color.
